Hotels
For family and friends coming from out of town, they’ll need a nice place to stay. Downtown Stillwater has various hotels, all close to Stillwater Event Center, and there are even more hotels outside of downtown and just a five-minute drive away. Many of these hotels offer free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and off-street parking, which will certainly make your guests happy!
Stillwater Bridge
As showcased in the photo above, the Stillwater Bridge is a beautiful backdrop for photos. Thanks to its close proximity to our event center, the newlyweds can sneak off for a short while to grab some sunset photos. The walking path is also a great place for guests to spend time before the wedding or between the ceremony and reception.
Downtown Activities
If some of your guests are coming from out of town a day early, or if the ceremony isn’t until later in the afternoon, they’ll need something to do. Downtown Stillwater has plenty of shops and restaurants—in fact, there are more than 50 independent owner-operated stores. Grab a sweet treat from the candy store or peruse through vintage finds at an antique shop.
The Scenery
Stillwater, MN has so many gorgeous views to offer, whether it’s the area around the St. Croix River or the beautiful historic buildings. If you want your wedding photos to have a more vintage or rustic look, use one of the many brick buildings around as a backdrop! And if you prefer more nature-based photos, there’s the beautiful area surrounding the Stillwater Bridge. Plus, we’re only a 15-minute drive from the Arcola Bluffs Day Use Area.
Restaurants/Bars
There are so many great restaurants in Downtown Stillwater, the perfect solution for your guests staying in the nearby hotels. Grab coffee in the morning from a café or sit down for a delicious lunch at a grill or pizza shop. There are also a handful of bars, breweries, and wineries for some evening fun.
