Name place cards
Your guests’ place cards are an easy way to use one or two of your colors. To keep things simple, you could use a white card and a wedding color ink for the name and table number. This is just one small part of your reception, so you don’t need to use a lot of color for the cards.
Table settings
Whether it’s the centerpiece, tablecloth, napkins, or even candles, this is where your color palette can really shine. Take the above photo for example—the purple-blue tone is used for the tablecloth and chair wraps, and the pink napkins act as the complementary color. The flowers in the centerpiece are also pink, but they don’t overpower the napkins.
Wedding party attire
One trend that’s become popular in just the last few years: different colored bridesmaid dresses. Many brides are choosing to dress their bridal party in several shades of their wedding colors, creating an ombre effect. The groomsmen can easily match these colors with their ties. For the bride, you can utilize the colors in your hairpiece if you choose!
Dessert
Individual desserts have been all the rage for the past couple of years, and it’s an easy way to use your colors as well. Whether it’s the frosting on cupcakes or food coloring in donuts, you can have a lot of fun with your palette.
Décor and signage
Another place to really use your colors is in the décor. At Stillwater Event Center, you can decorate the entryway with signs and décor to set the tone for your ceremony or reception. The gift table is also a great opportunity to play with all of your colors, whether it’s the letter box or the tablecloth.
