Stillwater Event Center has a rich history of hosting memorable events. Formerly known as KC Hall, we’ve been hosting events for 32 years in beautiful Stillwater, Minnesota. Our 4,000 sq. ft. facility and 225 guest capacity allow us to host any type of event including weddings, quinceañeras, family reunions, sports banquets, corporate events, holiday parties, and more.
When looking for a venue to host your next event, location and parking is a top priority. We have free parking and are located near downtown Stillwater, and we’re just a short drive away from a handful of hotels. Street-level access through the main entrance makes our venue convenient, especially if you have decorations to bring in.
During your event, guests can step out onto our newly renovated patio for some fresh air. We have a lovely pergola and greenery for some shade, along with a patio heater for those chillier days and nights. Our patio can hold up to 100 guests, which also makes us a great venue for an outdoor wedding ceremony.
One of the many perks of choosing Stillwater Event Center for your next event is our in-house caterer, Scheel’s Catering. Food is incredibly important for keeping guests happy, and we have plenty of dishes to choose from! Before your event, our caterer will work with you to select choices from our menu of delicious appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Guests love our unique desserts, which range from chocolate fudge brownies to cream puffs. You can be sure that our meals will be a hit with your guests!
Because the setup needs for each type of event vary, we can email you a floor plan drawing prior to your event so you can decide on the layout of the indoor hall. We offer 60-inch round tables and either six- or eight-foot banquet tables. When it comes to decorations, we have beautiful ceiling drapes that complement any decor style, and the rest is up to you! You can bring centerpieces, custom furniture, seat coverings, signage—you really get to make the event center your own for the day.

There are several seating options available to create the look/style for your event. We offer six or eight-foot banquet tables and/or 60-inch round tables. If requested, a floor plan drawing of the room setup will be emailed to you prior to your event.

What is Event Center Capacity?
The Stillwater Event Center can accommodate up to 225 guests.
How can I check availability?

Can we have a wedding rehearsal at the Event Center?
Yes, we can arrange for a rehearsal and/or dinner based on the availability of the space.
Can we have a DJ or band?
Yes, you may do either. If you are having a band, please contact us to determine the amount of space needed prior to the event.
Does this venue have parking?
There is free parking on-site. The Stillwater Event Center’s main entrance is street level.
What items are included in the basic rental?
We include the set-up of all tables and chairs in the rental price as well as clean-up. We do not allow any items to be left at the Event Center after the event has ended. Please make arrangements to transport any items you wish to keep after your event. Receptions typically start at 4:00 pm or later. Please let the Director know if your event will begin prior to 4 pm. (All events must end at midnight).
Is there a deposit required to reserve a date?
Yes, there is a $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve your date. The balance of all rent and fees will be due three weeks prior to your event. We accept payments from cash, check, or credit cards.
Are there additional service fees?
Additional fees are dependent on the type of event scheduled and the services requested. All expenses and fees are fully communicated prior to booking the event.
What restrictions are there?
- You may begin decorating at 8:00 am on the morning of your event.
- No items can be hung from the ceilings. (Contact the Director if ceiling decorations other than the ceiling drapery are requested)
- Nothing can be taped to the painted portions of the walls.
- All candles must be surrounded by glass (referred to as “no open flame”)
- We do not allow bubbles, rice, or confetti. Rose petals may be used on the tops of tables only. If bringing in outside custom furniture etc. please have a discussion with event staff prior
- No outside beverages are allowed to be brought into the Event Center
- Alcohol is prohibited in the parking lot
Are there Hotels nearby?
There are several hotels within a two-mile radius.
Does the facility have proper licenses and insurance?
The Stillwater Event Center carries all required licenses and Insurance. Please ask the Director for details.
